I’m proud to announce that my research article “Post-emergence movements and habitat use by hatchling diamondback terrapins (Malaclemys terrapin)” was published in Volume 87, Issue 2 of the Journal of Wildlife Management. I am the lead author on this article, with co-authors Dr. Scott Buchanan and Dr. Nancy Karraker. This article is the official publication to come out of my master’s research at the University of Rhode Island. It was a challenging and rewarding process to research and write this article, then adapt to the peer reviewers’ and editors’ feedback. I think we’ve landed on an excellent outcome. I hope my research helps illuminate some of the mysteries of the lives of terrapins, and leads to better conservation and management of terrapins throughout their lives.
